We had a great turnout at this year’s annual Souvlaki fest this June despite
the weather our members turned out in groves for this beautiful family event to
taste sumptuous Souvlaki, enjoy Cretan music, get a first look at The Cretan’s
of Montreal Signature merchandise and watch everyone dance all day long.
Congratulations goes out to Mrs. Rodousakis of Laval Quebec, the winner of our 50/50 draw! She then donated a portion of her winnings to the Association, a generous gesture of appreciation with heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Rodousakis!

BATTLE OF CRETE

This year the association hosted a ceremonial
commemoration of the 83rd anniversary of the battle of Crete. All Cretans, wherever they are, celebrate and honor the battle of Crete every year, to remember all the heroes who shed their blood for our freedom. All Hellenes are aware of the contribution and the precious history that was written by our ancestors for this battle which should never be forgotten as it was one of the most decisive battles of World War II.

It took place on Sunday, June 2nd at 2.00p.m. at the Palace Reception 1717 boul. Le Corbusier, Laval, where we presented a documentary in honor of this battle, courtesy of the Ministry of National Defense of Greece.

The Cretan’s of Montreal Dance groups started from age 3 to infinity finished off the afternoon with cultural dances that were unforgettable! Thank-you to our beautiful dancers!!!!
